A bad season for Manchester United ended on a low after they were defeated 1-0 in the FA Cup final by Chelsea.
Jose Mourinho's men were bitterly disappointing from start to finish as Eden Hazard's 22nd minute penalty gave the London side the victory.
That means they end the season without silverware.
Mourinho's men finished second in the league, but they were still a distant 19 points away from the tally that Manchester City accumulated.
And they also suffered a shock defeat in the Champions League last-16.
Next season can't come soon enough for Man United fans.
JOSE MOURINHO EMBARRASSES HIMSELF
Mourinho has delivered some entertaining press conferences across this year, and his interview after the game was very much the same.
Not afraid to speak his mind, the 55-year-old criticised Chelsea in what seemed like a very salty reaction to the loss.
Mourinho congratulated his opponents for the win, but then proceeded to attack them for being defensive and stating they did not deserve the victory.
"I congratulate them because they won. I don’t think they deserved to win," he said.
"But I’m a sportsman, they score one more goal than us so they get the cup. I have to do what my job says and be respectful – and not just because they were my previous club.
"But I think we deserve to win, we were the best team – that’s football.
"I’m quite curious to know what you say, what people write, because I can imagine what happens if my team plays like Chelsea. I’m curious.
"This is the way they normally play. Today especially after 1-0 they were really, really defensive.
"We didn’t have a presence without Lukaku and Fellaini. They knew they were going to be dominant, we tried everything but they were a huge block.
"The image of the game is David De Gea not touching the ball. But the team that scores one more goals wins."
A bit hypocritical, don't you think Jose?
Mourinho has set his side up to be defensive throughout the year.
He was beaten at his own game today, and he simply couldn't handle it.
Many took to Twitter to vent their fury at Mourinho, with many branding him as 'salty' and as a 'hypocrite' for his comments.
