Tyson Fury's boxing comeback is just weeks away. After almost three years out of the ring, the 'Gyspy King' is making his long awaited return at the Manchester Arena as the lineal heavyweight champion of the world. Fight fans haven't forgotten that famous victory over Wladimir Klitschko in 2017.And while Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder are the ultimate targets for Fury, he's more than aware that a series of warm-up fights are needed in the meantime.Fury has shed over seven stone of weight over the past nine months and will want to brush away the ring rust before trying to recoup the belts he was stripped of.Nevertheless, it has been kept under wraps for so long as to whom Fury will exchange leather with in his first warm-up bout.

Fury makes his comeback on June 9

The 29-year-old signed a promotional contract with Frank Warren recently and the broadcasting rights were handed to BT Sport.

It was also reported that the opponent was going to be of a very low quality as Eddie Hearn had refused to promote the names Fury put forward.

Well, with fight night less than four weeks away, Warren has finally unveiled the opponent.

Fury will fight Sefer Seferi

The man in question is Sefer Seferi.

The Albanian had been favourite with the bookmakers for sometime and even seemed to indicate last month that he was being lined up. Now, however, there's no doubting it.

Check out the announcement:

To say boxing fans aren't impressed, though, would be putting things mildly.

Seferi boasts a deceivingly standard record of 23-1 but is actually a career cruiserweight, and his one big fight at heavyweight happens to be that one defeat and to Manuel Charr at that.

That's not to mention the fact he is well and truly past his best at age 39.

Boxing fans react

Take a look at the reaction below:

On the one hand, it's a big disappointment that Fury's opponent is so unknown and so unfamiliar with heavyweight boxing.

On the other hand, the writing's been on the wall for sometime with Fury having spent so long outside of the ring.

Seferi did go12 rounds with Charr so fans might not have an Amir Khan vs Phil Lo Greco fight on their hands, but don't expect Seferi to cause Fury too many problems

And besides, it will just be good to see the 'Gypsy King' back in action again.

Joshua and Wilder will be watching on with a keen eye.
