With just a few weeks away until the Money In The Bank (MITB) pay-per-view (PPV) event, we still have one last man that needs to qualify for the Men's MITB Ladder match.
So far; Kevin Owens, Bobby Roode, Braun Strowman, The Miz, Rusev, Finn Balor, and a member of The New Day have all qualified for the match. A match between Samoa Joe and Big Cass will determine the final entrant on SmackDown Live.
Joe is one of the most over talents on the roster right now, and fans have really been wanting to see a major push from him since he was called up to the main roster just before WrestleMania 33.
Cass has just returned from injury and is currently in a rivalry with Daniel Bryan on SmackDown Live. He also reportedly has some backstage heat for going off-script during a recent segment.
For the past several days, Cass has been selling a leg injury at house shows. It seems like he'll carry this into his qualifying match with Samoa Joe as well when they fight to qualify for MITB.
This match was speculated about on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer.
He speculated that the match between Joe and Cass would be a short one, and Joe would almost certainly be the last man to qualify for the MITB match (quotes via Ringside News):
“Cass and Joe which I’m almost certain will be short and Joe will win because they’re having Cass has been limping limping limping trying to sell the thing with Daniel Bryan from Tuesday.
"So I imagine Joe is just gonna go in there and [win]. If he’s limping at the house shows he’s almost certain to be limping on tv — watch him not, right?
“But I think Joe will beat him and get into Money In The Bank.”
What are your thoughts on Joe likely being the last man to qualify for the MITB match? Do you think that he should be in the match instead of Big Cass? And what are the odds that Joe actually wins the MITB match? Let us know your thoughts on the matter in the comments section below!
