It's all change at Arsenal this summer.

While their new manager is yet to be confirmed, the Gunners are headed for their first season without Arsene Wenger in 22 years. The announcement was made last month that the legendary manager will be leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Mikel Arteta looks the most likely man to take charge, having held positive talks with the north London club on Thursday.

Coaches such as Luis Enrique, Leonardo Jardim and Massimiliano Allegri have all been ruled out of the job while Thierry Henry still holds a slim chance going into an interview on Monday.

If reports are to be believed, though, whoever takes charge won't have much money to spend this summer.

Sven Mislintat scouting for signings

It's understood that the new coach will have just £50 million at their disposal after the January purchases of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

That's not to mention the hefty wages that came with Mesut Ozil's new contract.

Nevertheless, that doesn't mean that Arsenal won't look to bolster their squad this summer and Head of Recruitment Sven Mislintat has already been putting in the ground work.

Xhaka likes Instagram transfer comment

The former-Borussia Dortmund mastermind has been dipping into the German market and a number of reports have linked Arsenal to Bundesliga players in recent weeks.

And two of the players that keep coming up are Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Caglar Soyuncu.

In fact, the reports have been so frequent that they've stayed with Arsenal fans and one Gooner innocently commented on Granit Xhaka's Instagram that the pair had been confirmed.

It was, on all accounts, a pretty trivial comment until Xhaka himself decided to 'like' it. That's right, check out the social media moment below:

Does Xhaka know something that we don't? Is he hinting that they've signed?

Who knows but given that there's over 200 comments on the Instagram post, there's good reason to suggest it wasn't an accident.

Having played for Borussia Monchengladbach between 2012 and 2016, the Swiss international will have plenty of contacts in Germany as well as at Arsenal.

And off all the transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal, those associated with Sokratis and Soyuncu are the most common.

It's believed that Arsenal want to bolster their back five this summer and Shkodran Mustafi could be shipped out in coming months.

Whether the Gunners would sign two Bundesliga centre-backs, though, is unknown.

That being said, it's worth noting that both are within the club's budget, even if Arsenal bought the pair.

Given some of their defending this season, it could be a case of the more the merrier in Arsenal's defence. Watch this space.
