Manchester United broke their transfer record to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus in 2016.The French midfielder cost United £89m - but his form has been inconsistent and he was on the losing side in Saturday's FA Cup final.Chelsea beat Man United 1-0 at Wembley thanks to an Eden Hazard first-half penalty.Retired Premier League legend Frank Lampard criticised Pogba in the build-up to the FA Cup final."I don't know what Paul Pogba quite is," said Lampard. "He makes bad decisions but then does fantastic things which must wreck Jose's head."Mourinho tried to embarrass him out of it and I worry Pogba did not get it."The 25-year-old had a golden opportunity to equalise against Chelsea but, in acres of space, somehow headed wide.

Pogba on his future

On Sunday, the French midfielder angered Man United fans with his response to being asked if he plans to stay at Man United.

"You're never sure of anything," replied Pogba on Canal+, as per L'Equipe. "Contractually, it's on, yes.”

You can understand why the United fans were so upset.

The Reds failed to win any silverware this season and Pogba's performances have simply not been up to scratch.

Pogba - who famously quit Man United for Juventus as a teenager - has three years remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford.

While Twitter was talking about Pogba's lack of commitment, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic was producing a brilliant midfield performance for Lazio against Inter Milan.

Pogba's rollercoaster season is finally over and he spoke in detail about his relationship with Mourinho.

“These are times when I wasn’t playing," added Pogba to Canal+. "I was on the bench. Much has been spoken about.

"People thought it was wrong but a coach and player don’t have to be best friends. One is not forced to go to the restaurant together. I had some problems, it's mental.

"He put me on the bench, I answered on the pitch, I give my maximum every time.

“It made me grow in leadership. I had the armband with Mourinho, it was the first time in a club. It's important to me, it makes me grow up to be as a leader in the France team.”
