The Golden State Warriors reclaimed the lead in their Western Conference Finals series with the Houston Rockets with a thumping 126-85 win in Game 3.The defending champions bounced back incredibly from a 22-point loss in their previous outing and blew the Rockets away at Oracle Arena to take a 2-1 lead. They dominated the encounter from start to finish and once again showed that they will take some stopping in their pursuit of a second consecutive title.Sunday night's victory also proved to be significant in more ways than one as the Dubs set multiple records. The rout over Houston was their 16th straight win at home in the playoffs, which sets a new NBA record.

They've surpassed the previous mark set by Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls when they won 15 in 1990 and 1991.

Golden State last suffered a home defeat in the famous Game 7 of the NBA Finals in 2016 when the Cleveland Cavaliers completed a historic comeback from a 3-1 deficit to win their first championship.

They acquired Kevin Durant soon after that painful loss and have been formidable in front of their home fans in Oakland ever since.

"We're in the middle of a hell of a run, obviously," head coach Steve Kerr said after the game, per ESPN.

The 41-point win over the Rockets was also the largest margin of victory in the team's postseason history.

It was a truly outstanding display from the Dubs on both ends of the floor and it was made even sweeter by the return to form of Stephen Curry.

The two-time MVP broke out of his shooting slump in a second-half explosion as he ended with a game-high 35 points on 13-of-23 shooting.

He shot just 1-of-7 from beyond the arc in the first half and continued to struggle with his shot but that all changed after the break.

Curry was red-hot in the third quarter as he poured in 18 points on a perfect 7-of-7 from the field.

"I was searching for it in the first half. I had plenty of opportunities, I just couldn't knock it down," Curry said. "Third quarter it opened up. I've been doing it for a while. I won't let two tough games shooting keep me frustrated."

Kevin Durant added 25 points, six rebounds and six assists and Draymond Green posted a double-double of 10 points and 17 rebounds.

The momentum is now firmly with the men from the Bay Area and a 17th consecutive win at home in Game 4 would give them a commanding 3-1 lead and one foot in the finals for a fourth year running.
