This summer's transfer window pretty much has it's first major saga in Antoine Griezmann.
The French forward has enjoyed yet another stunning campaign with Atletico Madrid in 2017/18, scoring 29 goals and recording 13 assists in all competitions.
There are few fans who will argue the fact that Griezmann is one of the top five players in world football and he will have France's expectations on his shoulders at the World Cup.
However, there may be some worries from the French camp that their talisman may not be in the right frame of mind due to ongoing rumours about his future.
The Spanish press have been constantly hinting that a €100m move to Barcelona will happen, while Atletico themselves are furious with the reports.
Diego Simeone refused to comment whether he was staying after Atleti's Europa League win over Marseille and it seems the constant rumours have finally got to the fans.
With Griezmann not yet revealing his plans for the summer, fans at the Wanda Metropolitano decided to boo their star striker when he came on vs Eibar - it was also Fernando Torres' final game for the club.
Griezmann was visibly distraught with the response form the fans, with Diego Godin actually approaching supporters in the south bank to stop them from whistling.
The Uruguayan reportedly told fans that his teammate was staying as well, something which not many believed to be true.
But, a report from Marca today has revealed that Godin's words were factual, as Griezmann had informed the Atletico board before the game that he was intent on staying.
Surely that's a good thing, right? Well, not anymore, because the report states that the action from supporters has put some serious doubt in Griezmann's mind.
Essentially, the situation has changed dramatically, with Barca perhaps back in pole-position to get the deal done.
The section of fans who unnecessarily booed a player who had won them a trophy a few days before may seriously rue their actions.
