The summer transfer window is well underway and some of Europe's biggest clubs are already laying down their plans.

Barcelona is one such club and it seems their transfer activity looks set to revolve around Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann.

The Blaugrana are looking to form a deadly attacking trio behind the Frenchman, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

Nevertheless, it seems that Atletico's star man is still undecided on the matter and the coming months will decide whether he rejects yet another high-profile departure.

There are also set to be some outgoings from the Nou Camp ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

Clear-out at Barcelona

Samuel Umtiti has been linked with a move away from the club this summer with the likes of Rafinha, Sergi Samper and Munir also on the hit-list.

Ernesto Valverde will hope that a few alterations over the summer will be enough for Barcelona to continue their domestic stronghold on Real Madrid.

They will, of course, be hoping to chase their first Champions League title since 2015 as well.

PL clubs on red alert for Gomes

There's another man that looks set to miss out on that campaign, however, and it's a player who has a history of being linked to the Premier League.

That man is Andre Gomes.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Premier League clubs are on red alert after Gomes completely cleared out his Barcelona locker this week and handed over the keys.

While it's customary for players to have an end of season clear-out, they usually leave belongings behind in the knowledge they'll return. With Gomes, that hasn't been the case.

As a result, Manchester United and even Tottenham might rekindle their interest in the Portuguese midfielder.

United were linked with Gomes across last summer and with his exit all but confirmed, it wouldn't be surprising if Jose Mourinho tried his hand again.

The United boss has talked up purchasing a replacement for Michael Carrick and possibly Marouane Fellaini, so Gomes could be a perfect buy and at a reasonable price of €35 million.

Wherever he decides to move to, however, fans can only hope he's happier than he was at Barcelona.

During an emotional interview in March, the 24-year-old revealed: “I do not feel good playing…I’m not enjoying what I do.

“My friends tell me I am playing with the hand brake on and I know this is true, and it is bothering me why I cannot step it up from there.

“It leads me to feel ashamed and sometimes I feel that I cannot leave the house due to the shame and due to people looking at me.”
