The Golden State Warriors took a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night and it's fair to say that Steph Curry got a little bit excited after the game. A little too excited, however, in the eyes of his mother.

Curry helped the Warriors win Game 3 126-85 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland at the weekend by producing a performance of 35 points, six rebounds, an assist, and a block while shooting 13-of-23 from the field.

The two-time MVP winner expressed his emotions to the world by screaming to the fans at Oracle Arena “this is my f---ing house!” during the third quarter of the game, which was caught by the cameras covering the game.

It might have got the Golden State fans watching the game live riled up, but one Warriors fan wasn't impressed, Curry's own mother. Curry said that his mother wants to wash his mouth out with soap for saying the foul word, and because he is a devout Christian, he understands why.

The point guard said to ESPN after the game: "She already sent me two home videos, showing me the clip and playing it back. She was telling me how I need to wash my mouth out, saying to wash it out with soap. It's a message I've heard before.

"She's right. I gotta do better. I can't talk like that."

You can't blame Curry for being emotional during what was a breakout game for him in this year's playoffs. He had previously missed the entire first round of the postseason against the San Antonio Spurs due to injury and didn't particularly shine during the second round series against the New Orleans Pelicans, so he was begging to have this kind of game soon.

The two-time MVP winner got his offense going in this game despite being targetted on defense, so this must give confidence to Golden State to possibly extend their lead in the series to 3-1 when Game 4 between themselves and the Rockets takes place later today.
