We are just four days away from the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool.Very few would have imagined that Liverpool would contest the final in Kiev, but they have overcome all competition in front of them with flying colours.Real Madrid, on the other hand, are looking to win their third Champions league title in a row, and their fourth in five seasons.Los Blancos will therefore go into the clash as the result, but Jurgen Klopp has stated that his side can match them with their desire and work-rate."Real Madrid are more experienced," said Klopp. "Experience is important in life but it is not the only thing.""You can level it with desire, attitude and work-rate, and that is why I love football."We will try in a very positive way to show the boys why it makes so much sense to be really brave."

VINCENTE DEL BOSQUE'S COMMENTS

A lot has been said in the lead up to the final, with important figures on both sides playing mind games.

Real Madrid's honourary president shocked fans when he claimed overcoming Liverpool would be a 'piece of cake'.

Now a former Real Madrid manager has enraged Reds fans further.

Vicente del Bosque represented Real Madrid as a player between 1968–1984, and then managed the side on three separate occasions.

The 67-year-old, who also led Spain to two major triumphs in 2010 and 2012, has made some bizarre claims stating that none of Liverpool's players would get into Real Madrid's first eleven.

"Real Madrid have a great squad, and it's the best club in Europe right now," he told Spanish outlet COPE, per Goal.

"They have to prove that on Saturday. Real Madrid will beat Liverpool 4-1.

"I cannot find a single Liverpool player that improves Real Madrid, (not even) Salah.

"(Gareth) Bale and (Karim) Benzema are very good.

"Benzema is a great player too, sometimes (he can go) cold, but he has given an extraordinary performance, and Cristiano Ronaldo makes them all better."

What?

Liverpool have arguably the best attacking trio in the world right now.

To think that Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah would not improve Real Madrid is absolutely ludicrous.

They have performed levels above Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale this season, and would easily displace them in Real Madrid's eleven.

There is also an argument to be made that Virgil van Dijk would get in Real Madrid's side, while some may prefer Andy Robertson to Marcelo at left-back due to the former's defensive qualities.

It's needless to say that Liverpool fans did not react well to Del Bosque's bizarre claims.
