So it looks as though Unai Emery will the new Arsenal manager - much to the surprise of pretty much everyone.Mikel Arteta looked set to be offered the job of succeeding Arsene Wenger but, in the 11th hour, reports broke that it will actually be Emery. While the Spaniard will arrive with a decent looking CV, boasting of a treble at Paris Saint-Germain and three consecutive Europa Leagues at Sevilla, there are a few doubters. However, something that Emery said eight years ago has been discovered by Arsenal fans - and they love him for it.Back in 2010, Emery was in charge of Valencia and a certain Jose Mourinho was at Real Madrid. And during Madrid’s 1-0 victory over Sevilla, Mourinho was up to his old tricks and produced a list of errors the referee had made during the game.Emery’s reaction in a press conference the next day?Well, he wasn’t too impressed with Mourinho’s behaviour.

“We at Valencia have good reason to make a public complaint against all the mistakes that have led to us losing, but we do not. The position of Mourinho is that of a cry baby," Emery said.

"Referees make mistakes both for and against your team, but surely we have more arguments to make a complaint than them."

ARSENAL FANS LOVE HIM ALREADY

And Arsenal fans are loving that fact that Emery has already called out Mourinho in his career:

After those initial comments, Emery then suggested that Mourinho had previously hurled some disrespectful comments towards him.

“Perhaps there is a precedent in judging people without knowing them, but I will not go into that circus.

“I want to focus on our own team, and not deviate from that. This league is the best in the world, it still is and will continue to be.”
