WWE could be gearing up to welcome back a key member to RAW

Football News

In the sport of professional wrestling, especially in WWE where talents are forced to be on the road for over 300 days a year, injuries are extremely common.

They also don't play favorites, as even some of the biggest names in the sport, or hot new stars on the rise, can also be sidelined at the drop of a dime. That's exactly what happened to former Tag Team Champ Jason Jordan.

After a brief stint on SmackDown Live as Tag Team Champs with Chad Gable, Jordan was moved over to Monday Night RAW for a big push.

He was selected to be the storyline son of WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle. Jordan morphed into a singles career on Monday Nights; taking on the likes of John Cena, Roman Reigns, and Braun Strowman.

Eventually, he was put back into the tag team division, being forced to team up with Seth Rollins to challenge then-RAW Tag Team Champions The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro).

Injury & Surgery

It was around this time that the injury bug bit Jordan's career. He suffered from some neck complications that minimized his involvement inside the ring for the next several weeks.

Plans to have him build-up a feud leading into WrestleMania were eventually scrapped as well. In February, he was written off WWE TV when Kurt Angle sent him home to get better.

He underwent neck surgery to repair the complications in his neck, which WWE doctors described as “a minimally invasive operation to decompress the nerve."

The Return

Jordan has been off WWE TV recovering ever since. It looks like he may be ready to get back into the swing of things, however, as Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Jordan is scheduled to be backstage for next weeks episode of Monday Night RAW in Richmond, Virginia.

This could mean that Jordan is getting set to return to WWE TV as part of the RAW roster. Currently, Chad Gable has started a feud with the team of Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler.

Gable was recently moved over to RAW by way of the Superstar Shake-Up. He is the former partner of Jordan, who could return to assist him in taking on the duo.

It should be interesting to see what WWE drums up for Jordan's return to Monday Nights.
