Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has confirmed that injury-plagued defender Kenny Milne is to leave the club.

The Scottish centre-back, 30, was contracted to the Iron until the end of this month but will not be offered a new deal.

Milne, 30, will now visit a knee specialist in the hope that he can salvage his career.

Milne signed from Falkirk two seasons ago but they have been disrupted by injury after the defender twice required knee surgery.
