If Liverpool are to overcome Real Madrid in Kiev on Saturday, they’re going to have to keep Cristiano Ronaldo quiet.
Despite a slow start to the season, the Portuguese superstar has scored 44 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.
And in the Champions League, he’s bagged a ridiculous 15 goals in 12 matches.
If he plays a role in Madrid winning their third consecutive European Cup on Saturday, he will surely be winning a record-breaking sixth Ballon d’Or come January.
Of course, the 33-year-old is Madrid’s best chance of winning the final. But what is his record like against Saturday’s opponents?
Well, Cristiano has actually faced the Merseysiders 11 times in his career for both Manchester United and Real.
And his record makes for very interesting reading:

So that’s 11 matches played, seven wins, three defeats and one draw.
But most importantly, his three goals means that’s only one goal every 317 minutes.
To put that into context, during his career Ronaldo has a goal ratio of one strike every 84 minutes.
That’s got to give Liverpool a bit of hope, surely?
