Real Madrid are all that stands in the way of Liverpool bagging their sixth European title on Saturday night.

After a heroic Champions League run this season, the Reds have the opportunity to make history in Kiev and stop their opponents winning a third consecutive title in the competition. It promises to be a brilliant match-up.

One of the key dynamics during the game will - of course - concern Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian wingers has propelled himself into Ballon d'Or contention after a fairytale-like debut season at Liverpool.

Procured for 'just' £36.7 million from AS Roma this summer, Salah has gone onto score 44 goals and provide 14 assists across 54 appearances this campaign.

Just how will the 25-year-old fare against the might of Real Madrid, though?

Salah's impending battle with Madrid left-back Marcelo has been highly discussed over the past few weeks and no more so after Salah ran him ragged during an Olympic fixture in 2012.

That international tie isn't the only time they've clashed, however, with Real Madrid and Roma contesting a Champions League round of 16 tie in 2016.

Salah's individual highlights

As a result, the second leg at the Bernebeu endures as the last time that Salah has faced Los Blancos in a competitive fixture.

How did Salah get on? Well, a video of Salah's individual highlights during the game have emerged during the run-up to Saturday and it makes for very interesting watching.

Real ran away 2-0 winners on the night, virtue of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and James Rodriguez, but Salah seriously impressed in Madrid. His finishing was the only thing lacking from the performance.

Take a look at the video below:

The clip shows Salah causing chaos in Madrid's defence and midfield and it certainly looks promising ahead of the weekend.

His mazy runs from out wide and deep fooled Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric and - crucially - Marcelo on a number of occasions during the game.

He even created impressively for Edin Dzeko in the final third, although his own shooting was slightly askew.

Nevertheless, it shows that the 25-year-old can do the business against Real Madrid and it's especially telling when Real's team has changed so little since the game.

And now Salah is in a more comfortable and fluid attacking force alongside his trusty Roberto Firmino and Sadio mane. As a result, there's certainly a lot for Los Blancos to fear ahead of the big name.

Murmurs from Madrid suggest they are incredibly confident going into the game and with three Champions League finals in four years, they've got the taste for victory.

When you're playing a team with Salah on their books, though, you simply never know.
