Injuries continue to plague the WWE's roster on a regular basis, and it's hard for them not to when the company travels over 300 days a year performing an act that makes your body feel like its just been through a car wreck.

Sometimes, Superstars are injured during the peak of their careers, and other times careers have been outright ended - such as in the case of Paige or Edge - at the blink of an eye. Nobody knows when it's going to happen, but when it does, there's never a good time for it.

Heartbreak

This has been the issue with former beloved Tag Team competitor Big Cass. Cass suffered an ACL tear last year during a match with Enzo Amore. The injury was so bad he was unable to finish the bout.

After being helped backstage and being examined by WWE medical personnel, it was revealed that the seven-footer would be shelved for an extended period of time.

The Return

Finally, after months of rehabilitation, Cass returned just after WrestleMania 34.

He was moved to SmackDown Live by way of the Superstar Shake-Up and immediately was tossed into a feud with former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan.

Cass and Bryan had a rivalry that lasted over the span of a few weeks. Cass even landed himself in hot water backstage with WWE for going off-script during a segment related to his rivalry with Bryan.

The big man was being pushed as one of WWE's top heels, as he was working a program with, arguably, the biggest babyface in the company.

Bad Luck

During WWE's recent European tour, however, another stroke of bad luck befell Cass. Somehow he seemed to have aggravated his ACL yet again.

Initially, fans believed Cass was selling an attack from Bryan on SmackDown Live, as he was seen limping during live events. It turns out, however, that this was not a work and Cass was legitimately injured.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that he is hearing Cass is back on crutches and and is currently scheduled to see a doctor to determine if he needs another ACL surgery (quotes via Ringside News):

"Nothing is working for Colin Cassidy right now. He’s back on crutches. From what I understand he’s going to go check out to see if he needs ACL surgery again.

"If that’s the case, that is bad, bad news for him."

If Cass does indeed need another ACL surgery, this will put him back out for nearly another year, and his big push will again have been stifled.
