Many WWE fans seem to be sick and tired of having a part-timing WWE Universal Champion like Brock Lesnar.

The Beast won the Universal Title back at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando last year when he defeated Goldberg. Since then; Lesnar has successfully defended against the likes of Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, and Roman Reigns.

At WrestleMania 34, many expected that Lesnar was finally going to drop the World Title and pass on the torch to Roman Reigns.

Setting The Stage

Lesnar broke The Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania 30, and three years later Roman Reigns became the second-ever man to achieve the incredible feat.

The stage was then set for Lesnar and Reigns to do battle on The Grandest Stage Of Them All - with the two men to have ever defeated The Undertaker at WrestleMania going head-to-head. Reigns put up quite the fight, but couldn't kick out after the sixth F5.

A rematch occurred inside a Steel cage at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, which fans again expected Reigns to win. Unfortunately, after a controversial finish, Reigns came up just short yet again.

Part-Time Champ

Now Lesnar has been taking quite an extended period of time off, and isn't expected to be defending the title anytime soon, until possibly SummerSlam.

According to a recent report from Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, we may now know when Lesnar is expected to drop the title. Alvarez says it's expected that Lesnar will drop the title at SummerSlam (quotes via Ringside News):

“He is not on Money In The Bank so my guess is when they first announced that he had re-signed a deal I did have someone tell me they believed he was going to be there through SummerSlam.

"So all we know is that it is a short-term deal. I presume he is going to drop the title at SummerSlam I don’t know what. It could happen I guess in July.

"But he is not at Money In The Bank so it will either be the July pay-per-view or SummerSlam and if you got Brock Lesnar and you’re paying him big money it will probably end up being SummerSlam.”

Knowing WWE, Lesnar losing will likely not be clean. We could possibly see a WrestleMania 31-esk finish when the Money In The Bank (MITB) winner cashes in and makes the title bout a Triple Threat, and winning by not pinning Lesnar.
