The Houston Rockets have taken a 3-2 lead in the Western Conference Finals after edging the Golden State Warriors in a wild contest at the Toyota Center on Thursday night. They put one foot in the NBA Finals with a 98-94 victory and are on the brink of becoming the first team other the Warriors to come out of the west since 2014.Houston once again showed their grit and resilience as they overcame a bad shooting night to still claim a vital win.But unfortunately for the Rockets, there was one sour note from the game that could have a real impact on their chances of advancing to the finals.Late in the fourth quarter, Chris Paul suffered a hamstring injury that forced him off the court in the final minute.Houston managed to seal the win in his absence down the stretch but there is a real doubt about his chances of playing in Saturday night's Game 6.ESPN's Tim MacMahon reported that Paul received extensive postgame treatment and was unable to speak to the media. But the veteran did have some words for The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears as he left the arena and played down the severity of the injury, providing a reassuring message for Rockets fans."I will be all right," Paul told Spears. Asked specifically about Game 6 on Saturday, he said, "Oh yeah."The team will update his status after he receives further treatment on Friday but head coach Mike D'Antoni is prepared for any outcome."We'll see [if he can play Game 6]. He'll be evaluated tomorrow, but obviously you saw him limp off, and he's a tough guy," D'Antoni said, per ESPN. "They'll do whatever they can do. If he's there, great, good for him. If he isn't, we have enough guys; it's time for somebody else to step up."We'll be all right. We just have to continue what we're doing."

Influential

Going into a close out game at the Oracle Arena without him would be a huge blow for the Rockets as he played a huge role in last night's victory.

After a poor first half where he scored just two points, he posted 18 in the second and carried the offensive load as his backcourt partner James Harden struggled mightily. He also had seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.

CP3 drained a number of outrageously difficult three-pointers that ignited his team and the crowd when the Warriors threatened to take control.

The nine-time All-Star has also been dealing with soreness in his right leg throughout the series but has soldiered on.

A two-day turnaround from a hamstring injury will be tough for the All-NBA guard but with the stakes so high, you can be sure he'll do everything in his power to be on the court for Game 6.
