The Champions League final is just a day away.Liverpool have the chance to make history in Kiev on Saturday night as they eye their sixth European Cup. Meanwhile, Real Madrid can win the competition for the third time in four years with victory at the Olympic Stadium. All eyes will be on the team's respective star players - Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah - when it comes to kick-off.Ronaldo has no shortage of experience in the competition and its finals, whereas Salah is unknown territory despite a remarkable season that has seen him rack up 44 goals. There's a quiet feeling that whoever lifts the famous trophy on Saturday night will be the man to win the Ballon d'Or at the end of the year, assuming they start next season decently.

Mohamed Salah vs Marcelo

Salah will be playing alongside the other members of Liverpool's trusty front three, cutting in from the right hand side with Roberto Firmino playing centrally and Sadio Mane manning the left.

As a result, one of the biggest talking points before the game has been just how Marcelo will cope with Salah during the game.

There's no doubting that Marcelo is one of the world's finest full-backs and a menace going forward, yet his fundamental defending and tracking back can let him down at times.

Liverpool fan's Marcelo Twitter thread

As a result, one Liverpool fan has took it upon himself to create a Twitter thread of Marcelo this season and has compiled moments that looks more than promising for Salah.

The Kopite has selected ten clips of the Brazilian this season that shows numerous ways in which Salah can exploit the left-back on Saturday.

It makes for an interesting watch, check out the pick of the clips below:

It's fair to say Marcelo is somewhat error-prone.

Some of the clips of his poor tracking back look particularly exciting for Liverpool who are so lethal on the counterattack. Marcelo will have to be on his toes to avoid watching Salah burst through on goal from over his shoulder.

Nevertheless, despite the arrival of Virgil van Dijk in January, Liverpool don't wield an impenetrable defence of their own and few would be surprised if the final is high-scoring.

And while numerous head-to-heads will decide who takes the trophy, whichever star man produces one moment of magic will be crucial on the night.

Marcelo hasn't played perfectly this season but he might have to against Salah.

Anything less and Liverpool could be talking about a night in Kiev for years to come.
