In what has continued to be a case of ‘will he or won’t he?’ Rey Mysterio is yet to sign a full-time deal with the WWE.

The former WWE Champion made a shocking comeback at the Royal Rumble this January as reports emerged that he was in talks with the company regarding a full-time return after competing on the independent circuit for several years.

RETURN

As the months passed, nothing came to fruition while the untimely injury he suffered didn’t do him any favours either. Although, an appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia had fans - yet again - believing that a Mysterio return was upon us.

At the moment, it seems like fans could be waiting even longer. This is because Mysterio has been confirmed for the All In event this September so any permanent comeback will have to take place after that.

Thankfully, both the WWE and Mysterio are on good terms, so this is why he hasn’t stopped talking about potential plans for him if and when he does make a return and if his latest idea is anything to go, fans will be counting down the days until he’s back in WWE.

One thing WWE has tried and failed to do countless times is have a Latin American star adequately fill the massive gap Mysterio’s departure had left. That’s why when Harry Ruiz of Telemundo Las Vegas caught up with Mysterio, the latter revealed that he wants to create a super stable when he returns.

STABLE

Other than himself, he claimed he’d want to include Sin Cara, Kalisto as well as the newest member of SmackDown LIVE, Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas.

He posted: “@ReyMysterio told me the only thing missing with the Latino talent in #WWE right now (@SinCaraWWE, @KalistoWWE, @AndradeCienWWE) is him, so that way they could form a stable. LWO 2.0 coming up? Do it @VinceMcMahon! #LuchaLibre.”

A stable spearheaded by Mysterio would be welcomed by WWE fans, especially as it can help the direction-less Sin Cara and Kalisto do something more than being lost in the cruiserweight division.

While Almas is destined for big things in WWE after a rocky start in WWE, mixing it up with the experienced Mysterio on the big stage could be the perfect recipe for him to eventually break out into an even bigger star.

Mysterio clearly sees the talent and potential there, so perhaps it could fall on his shoulders to help carve out much better careers for them down the road in the hope that one of them - most likely Almas - ends up effectively replacing him as the face of Latin America in WWE.
