Back in April, following WrestleMania 34, WWE had their 12th draft.

The 2018 Superstar Shake-up took place across both Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live, as a number of wrestlers switched brands.

The high profile moves included United States Champion Jinder Mahal being drafted to Raw - before he later lost that title to Jeff Hardy, who went to Smackdown Live a day later.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn also switched from the Blue Brand to red - after being fired by Commissioner Shane McMahon and failing to beat him for their place on Smackdown Live at WrestleMania.

The Miz was once again moved around as he left Raw - and he was joined by the likes of Samoa Joe, Asuka and Absolution.

NXT CALL-UPS

As well as drafting superstars between brands, the WWE draft also presents an opportunity to call up performers from NXT. And last month, that's exactly what happened.

The most exciting talent to appear on the main roster so far has been Drew McIntyre. The Scot made the jump up from developmental to form a devastating partnership with Dolph Ziggler.

But he's not the only person that was called up - Andrade "Cien" Almas and his manager, Zelina Vega, made their debuts on Smackdown Live, and the former NXT Champion looks very much at home.

Two NXT tag teams were also called up in April. The Authors of Pain (AOP) made their debuts the night after WrestleMania - joining the Raw roster.

A week later, Sanity became part of Smackdown Live as part of the shake-up. However, since their call-ups, neither AOP or Sanity have really been featured on WWE TV.

Akam and Rezar have been seen twice on Raw, while Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe, and Killian Dain haven't actually been in a Smackdown Live ring at all.

Both AOP and Sanity were two of the most exciting teams in NXT, so it's very odd that neither have been involved on the main roster. But according to Dave Meltzer, there's a reason for that.

He reported in Wrestling Observer Live, per Ringside News, that the reason neither have been used on television is because WWE don’t have anything for them creatively at the moment.

Because of that, both AOP and Sanity are being kept off TV for the time being.

It's understandable that as WWE are building towards Money in the Bank, a focus will be put on singles competitors, rather than tag teams.

But following the PPV in June, fans will be expecting to see both AOP and Sanity regularly feature on Raw and Smackdown - because they've waited long enough.
