Ramos tweets Salah

Ramos took a lot of criticism for his part in the incident. Many fans feel that he purposefully pinned Salah’s arm before making things worse by rolling on the Liverpool man.

Salah tried to continue but he simply couldn’t and left the field in tears.

Ramos has now sent a message to Salah on Twitter, wishing the 25-year-old a speedy recovery.

"Sometimes football shows you it's good side and other times the bad," the Real Madrid captain wrote.

"Above all, we are fellow pros.

"Prompt recovery, Salah. The future awaits you."

There are now fears that Salah, who scored 44 goals for Liverpool this season, will miss the World Cup.

Liverpool started the match on the front foot but Jurgen Klopp doesn’t know what would have happened if his star man wasn’t forced off so early.

“For me that was kind of a harsh challenge because the arm is there and it was like wrestling a little bit,” the Liverpool boss said.

“It was very bad for Mo, very bad for us, very bad for Egypt. That’s part of the sport I don’t like, but things like this can happen.

“I don’t know what would have happened had Mo played on, we will never know that.

“Everybody saw in the first half-hour we were the opponent they probably will have expected.”

Here’s hoping Salah can make a speedy recovery.
