The WWE is the premiere leader in professional wrestling today, and the reason they've become that is due to their world-class roster of amazing athletes.

Currently; WWE has the likes of Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and so many more huge stars signed to contracts. Some of them started off as indy darlings, such as Daniel Bryan or Rollins, who eventually were signed to deals.

Others were more established names who made there careers with other promotions, such as the case with AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

Missing Pieces

Despite their huge roster today, WWE still doesn't have all of the biggest stars in professional wrestling inked to deals.

Three major players still linger in the world of professional wrestling. The first, WWE actually let slip form their grasp in the first place.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes has since departed the company after growing frustrated with his role in the business. Since leaving, he has established himself as a big time draw.

Rhodes has won the Ring Of Honor (ROH) World Title and has put on some amazing matches in the process. Another big star is former Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega.

Omega is one of New Japan Pro Wrestling's (NJPW) biggest stars, and one of the best in-ring workers on the planet today.

And finally, possibly the best tag team on earth today, The Young Bucks are also two major stars in wrestling today, doing work for both ROH and NJPW.

Possible Signings

WWE has been linked to rumors of signing all four of these men in the past, however, they've been taken as nothing more than just that - rumors.

Now, however, after signing a ridiculous billion dollar broadcasting deal with FOX, WWE might just be able to land Omega, Rhodes, and The Young Bucks to big contracts.

Here's what Wrestling Observer Live's Bryan Alvarez had to say about the possibility (quotes via Ringside News):

“WWE now that they have this television deal if they wanted to they could pay $5 million for Kenny Omega, they could pay $8 million for the Young Bucks, they could pay $10 million for Cody Rhodes.

"Honest to god– I don’t care how much fun anyone is having out there if WWE went to Kenny Omega and they said, ‘dude [we will give you] $10 million a year.

"Like I can’t say for sure that he’s going but they probably if they probably if they wanted to hire everybody with a name on the indie scene.

“Now obviously that is going to do a real number on the indie scene but I don’t picture them hiring the Rock n Roll Express I don’t picture them hiring everybody and as long as there are promoters out there who are going to give you, the fans what you want to see and WWE is going to continue to give you what they want you to see I think this boom or whatever you call it on the indies, this could last awhile.”

“We will see I could be out of my mind but that’s the feeling I get when I look around at some of the matches and some of the lineups and some of the totally wacky Joey Janella stuff they’re giving the fans matches that they think are really cool and WWE sometimes does not do that.”
