Since WrestleMania, WWE fans have only seen rare sights of Stephanie McMahon.

The Monday Night Raw commissioner was submitted by Ronda Rousey's armbar back in April, as the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion and Kurt Angle defeated her and Triple H.

The result was not that surprising, considering the WWE had been building their latest acquisition up as being the most dangerous woman in the world.

Rousey will now go on to face Nia Jax for the Raw Women's Championship at Money in the Bank next month - and could win the title in her second ever match.

MCMAHON'S HIATUS

What was surprising though, is the fact that Stephanie hasn't been seen on television very much since suffering defeat at The Show of Shows.

Despite regularly being mentioned by Raw's General Manager Angle, McMahon only resurfaced earlier this week to preside over the women's championship match contract signing.

She still appeared to be cautious towards Rousey in their segment on Monday - but as Jax is now feuding with the former UFC star, Stephanie's place on-screen appears unsure.

HOW WWE ARE PRESENTING HER

However, according to Brad Shepard of BodySlam.net, WWE have a plan for where they want to position McMahon in the company.

"You know they want to keep her position strong but I certainly have not heard that she’s being positioned as the strongest heel over Kevin Owens or whatever," Shephard said on the Backstage in WWE podcast, per NoDQ.

"I haven’t heard that at all. but I do know they want to position her strongly.

“They are positioning her obviously as one of the faces of the brand, we know that and she’s going to be on TV always, that’s just the reality.”

As Shepard notes, Stephanie doesn't really need to be on TV that often, because she's always going to be involved backstage as well.

It's also interesting that he believes Owens is being placed as the strongest heel in WWE - especially as KO himself keeps mentioning that the Raw commissioner was desperate to bring him to the Red Brand.

Could we see McMahon and Owens involved in a storyline together in the near future? It certainly wouldn't be out of the question.
