Bradford have terminated midfielder James O'Brien's contract by mutual consent.

The 20-year-old, who arrived at Valley Parade in the summer of 2009, still had 10 months remaining on his Bantams contract.

O'Brien is understood to be joining an undisclosed Irish Premier League side based in Dublin.

The former Birmingham trainee made seven starts and eight substitutes for Bradford last season and scored two goals.
