There are two big reasons why wrestling fans are still talking about CM Punk.

One, everyone is interested to see how he fares in his second professional fight at UFC 225 in just under two weeks after his disastrous debut against Mickey Gall inside of the Octagon.

WRESTLING RETURN?

Two, All In is approaching and considering it’s fittingly taking place in Chicago, it has fans wondering whether the enormous independent event could finally lure Punk to make a wrestling comeback.

Earlier this week, wrestling fans were buzzing after it was claimed that CM Punk was spotted backstage at the All In press conference, leading many to understandably assume that Punk was going to be featured in some way considering the event takes place in his city.

Unless it’s announced in the build-up to the event, fans will still live in the hope that CM Punk will feature in some way inside of a wrestling ring for the first time since his bitter exit when he left the WWE.

Now, one of the stars behind the formation of the All In event - which sold 10,000 tickets in less than 30 minutes - Cody, has finally discussed the possibility of CM Punk appearing at the event.

After talking up how vital Punk has been to his career, Cody revealed that if they announced CM Punk would be on the show before tickets went on sale, it would have felt like cheating whereas this event was to see whether they can draw by themselves.

Despite that, he admitted that if Punk wants in - he’s more than welcome.

ALL IN?

According to IW Nerd, Cody said “I had a really great relationship with Punk.

“When I came to OVW, he was the locker room leader, and he was super cool to me and he probably shouldn’t have been. He had worked for 10 years and was in developmental. He was really nice to me, and you never forget that. We want him to win his fight.

“If Punk wants to be a part of it, of course, he is unbelievably welcome. His city and the wrestling world never ever has given up on Punk.

“That’s to speak to the body of work and equity he had with them.”

Although that event might be the last thing Punk is thinking of right now, he’s going to have two things on his mind.

One is undoubtedly going to be his upcoming fight against Mike Jackson for the UFC, while he’ll also be preparing to go to trial with WWE doctor Chris Amann.

One that is in the books, though, it sounds like the ball is in his court if he really does have the itch to wrestle again.
