With this year's NBA draft now less than a month away, there is real excitement around the top prospects that are set to enter the league. One of those players is European prodigy Luka Doncic who has generated a buzz and anticipation that no player from foreign shores ever has.The 19-year-old is being regarded as the best talent to ever come from Europe and there is huge expectation surrounding him.He was recently named as the youngest EuroLeague MVP as well as the EuroLeague Final Four MVP after winning the championship with Real Madrid. The Slovenian is expected to declare for the draft and finally bring his talents to the NBA where he will surely be a top-three pick. One person who is excited by the youngster's potential is the league's greatest ever European player, Dirk Nowitzki. In a recent interview with 105.3 The Fan's The Ben & Skin Show, the German described how he's expecting big things from Doncic and believes he has the talent to become the next big thing."I mean, he's got all the game. He's got all the mid-range. He's got the pull-ups. He's got the step backs. He's great with the ball. He can run pick-and-rolls—which would suit him great here now since it's a pick-and-roll league now anyway. I think he's going to be great," Nowitzki said.

NBA fans have been excited by the highlights they've seen from the talented guard and Nowitzki also likes what he's seen from him so far in his young career.

"It seems like, to me, for a 19-year-old [he's] really savvy. He's already playing a great court game," Nowitzki added.

Due to his size and skillset, Doncic can occupy multiple positions on the court and will offer many options.

Nowitzki ultimately expects him to a be a playmaker but he's unsure of where the 6'8" man will fit in on the floor.

"He's going to be a little challenged, I think, athletically if he plays the one," Nowitzki noted. "He's got enough size to play the two, especially now with everybody going small anyways. I think he'd be okay."

The Dallas Mavericks will have the number five pick in the draft so it'll be unlikely that he falls that far down in the order.

He could potentially be selected with number one overall pick by the Phoenix Suns after they hired Igor Kokoskov as their new head coach.

The Serbian won the European Championships last summer with Doncic as coach of the Slovenian national team.

The Suns will be faced with a tough choice between him and Arizona product DeAndre Ayton.

But at this stage, Doncic still hasn't made a final decision about joining the NBA next season.

Whenever he does decide to make the move, there's no doubt that all eyes will be fixed on him as the league awaits his hugely anticipated arrival.
