It’s just under two weeks until Tyson Fury makes his highly-anticipated return to boxing.

The former world heavyweight champion, who hasn’t competed since defeating Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015, will take on Albania’s Sefer Seferi on June 9.

Seferi, 39, should pose no problems to Fury as he plots his route back to becoming a heavyweight champion.

The Albanian boxer, who holds a 23-1 record, has boxed the majority of his career as a cruiserweight.

Nobody was expecting Fury to take on a dangerous opponent in his comeback fight and this should be the prelude to some more competitive bouts in the future.

"I can't wait to get in there and prove that I'm a better fighter than I've ever been," Fury recently said.

"I'm coming into the prime of my career now and I've never felt better. I'm fitter, stronger and faster than the Fury of 2015."

Fury's latest message

Fury has had to watch as Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder have risen to the top of the division but the Gypsy King is coming for them.

He posted a menacing video on Instagram on Monday evening, promising to take down everyone in his path.

“I can’t sleep at night knowing that people think AJ’s better than me, or Deontay Wilder’s better than me,” Fury said.

“They are from my era. I’m gonna separate them from the centres. I’m gonna hit AJ with six left hooks in a row.

“Bomb Squad [Wilder], I’m coming for you baby.

“You may have thought that I’ve been f***ing about in the past but I’m more determined that I’ve ever been.

“I’m gonna destroy all of you.”

Throughout all of the problems that Fury has faced over the past two-and-a-half years, it’s hard not to get a sense that he fully believes in himself.

And that’s great news for a sport that is thriving right now.

Joshua and Wilder are currently in negotiations to put their respective belts on the line and adding Fury to the mix only makes the heavyweight division better.

That is, of course, if he can return to the level that saw him stun Klitschko in Dusseldorf.

The 29-year-old is desperate to make up for lost time and Joshua and Wilder can’t ignore him.
