Liverpool's transfer business in the last year has been pretty spectacular.

Aside from losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in January, the Reds' recruitment has been spot on, with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk really taking the team to another level.

Naby Keita arrives from RB Leipzig in just over a month and the Guinean international will be joined by Fabinho after Liverpool agreed a £44m deal with Monaco.

The arrival of those two makes the imminent departure of Emre Can pretty easy to take for Liverpool fans.

And it seems that the club are not done yet, with Lyon's Nabil Fekir reportedly the next high-profile player they want before the World Cup kicks off on June 16.

Jurgen Klopp clearly wants to add some serious squad depth, with Gareth Bale's appearance from the bench in the Champions League final highlighting Liverpool's issues in the department.

In a nutshell, Adam Lallana, Danny Ings and Dominic Solanke just aren't good enough.

And if reports from France are anything to go by, the club and the manager appear to be aware of that situation.

That's because Fekir is the second of three high-profile players the Red are targeting from Ligue 1, with Monaco's Thomas Lemar once again being pursued, per L'Equipe.

The Frenchman - who endured a pretty torrid season in 17/18 - was close to an Anfield switch last summer, but Monaco were not willing to sell.

However, after seeing his stock drop already, the principality club are likely to be tempted to offload him now while they can still get a pretty sizeable fee for him.

The fact he was picked by Didier Deschamps for the World Cup is likely to really help Monaco.

Lemar's potential arrival would provide Klopp with a serious boost up front and in midfield.

The Frenchman's favoured position is out on the left, but is more than competent covering in the centre of midfield.
