Fabinho is officially a Liverpool player.Considering Manchester United have always been considered favourites for the midfielder, yesterday's announcement came as something of a surprise but a brilliant one for Liverpool supporters.Part of the AS Monaco team that won Ligue 1 in 2016-17, the Brazilian is a robust midfielder with a strong tackle and an uncanny knack for keeping possession. Speaking after the announcement, Jurgen Klopp made no secret of his excitement surrounding Fabinho's arrival. The German told Liverpool's official website: "We have signed a fantastic player, but someone who is an equally fantastic person I think.

Liverpool unveil Fabinho

"His reputation as a character in the dressing room and his attitude in training has come through from everyone we speak to.

"He has ability and mentality to play at the highest level in a number of positions. He can play '6', '8' and '2'. This is cool. He is tactically very strong and football smart.

"I think he improves our squad and there aren't that many players you can say that about in this moment, because the quality we have already is so high."

Liverpool fans aren't exactly unfamiliar with Fabinho, but few have had the opportunity to watch him regularly in Ligue 1 across his three-year spell in Monaco.

Video of Fabinho emerges on Twitter

And while they won't get a clear opportunity to see him in action until pre-season, one football account has posted a rather interesting video of the Brazilian on Twitter.

The user in question has compiled clips of Fabinho that sum up his style of play and what he could have to offer on Merseyside.

Simply titled 'Fabinho, welcome to Liverpool,' the video has caused a big reaction amongst Kopites and no shortage of excitement. Check it out below:

Now that's what you call a proper midfielder.

Liverpool fans react

Aside from showcasing his lethality from the penalty spot, the video shows Fabinho's superb range of passing from midfield and his ability to burst forward with tenacious runs.

The 24-year-old will be able to create from deep with his eye for a diagonal ball and also provide an extra man in Liverpool's deadly attacks.

It's easy to see a Naby Keita-Fabinho combination causing havoc for opposition defences.

Only time will tell exactly how Fabinho will fare in English football but it seems he has all the tools to succeed in the Premier League.

With both Keita and Nabil Fekir potentially joining him at Anfield, too, there's plenty of reasons to be excited at Anfield ahead of next season.
