Unai Emery has got a tough summer on his hands at Arsenal. Not only does the Spaniard have to somehow follow in Arsene Wenger’s footsteps at the club, he needs to quickly decide which players he does and doesn’t want. The former Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain manager also needs to strengthen this Arsenal squad in an attempt to get the Gunners back into the Champions League. And if the north London club are to do that, Emery will want to keep the best players at the club. But there’s a real danger of the club actually losing their Player of the Year this summer.Aaron Ramsey’s contract at the Emirates expires next summer, meaning this transfer window could be the last opportunity to earn a decent fee for the Welshman. With the midfielder playing the best football of his career and now 27-years-old, you couldn’t blame him for demanding a move to a Champions League club.

WHAT RAMSEY HAS SAID ABOUT HIS FUTURE

But what Ramsey has just said whilst on international duty with Wales suggests he’s decided his future.

When asked if he was looking forward to working under Emery, Ramsey replied: “Of course. I haven’t spoken to him at all yet, but I think it’s an exciting time for the club.

“I can’t wait to get back there now.”

That certainly sounds positive.

And Arsenal fans really enjoyed Ramsey’s comments, believing that he’ll definitely be staying at the club this summer.

If Emery can secure a new contract for Ramsey and get him playing to the best of his ability, it certainly could be an “exciting time” for the club.
