Philadelphia 76ers general manager Bryan Colangelo has denied a report connecting himself to Twitter accounts that have criticized several league executives, coaches, and Sixers players from the past and present including Joel Embiid. The Ringer's Ben Detrick has reported that five different Twitter accounts were used to take shots at players from the past and present such as Embiid, at coaches such as Philadelphia's head coach Brett Brown, and league executives too including Toronto Raptors' general manager Masai Ujiri and former Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie.Embiid was asked by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN what his thoughts were on the recent reports about Colangelo, to which he said he has spoken to the Sixers general manager about it and deny the story. He said he believes him.

He said: “I talked to him and he said that he didn’t say that. He called me just to deny the story. Gotta believe him until proven otherwise. If true though, that would be really bad.”

This wasn't the only reaction he had to the report, and his second reaction was hilarious. He also took to social media to express his opinion on Colangelo with the following posts on Twitter and on his Instagram story.

Embiid even went as far as to like some of the tweets by the suspected burner accounts.

The Ringer asked Colangelo if he knew about the accounts in question, to which he said the following in a statement:

"Like many of my colleagues in sports, I have used social media as a means to keep up with the news. While I have never posted anything whatsoever on social media, I have used the @Phila1234567 Twitter account referenced in this story to monitor our industry and other current events.

"This storyline is disturbing to me on many levels, as I am not familiar with any of the other accounts that have been brought to my attention, nor do I know who is behind them or what their motives may be in using them."
