Sergio Ramos is public enemy number one in Liverpool after his role in the club’s Champions League final defeat last weekend.

The Real Madrid captain was the man responsible for injuring Mohamed Salah midway through the first half after dragging the Egyptian forward to the ground.

Salah, who dislocated his shoulder in the process, was forced off the pitch in tears and could now miss the World Cup finals.

Ramos, who further angered Liverpool fans when he was spotted laughing with the assistant referee while Salah headed towards the dressing room, also elbowed Loris Karius minutes before the goalkeeper’s first error of the night.

Karius hit the deck following the off-the-ball incident and then proceeded to gift Karim Benzema a goal.

Ramos, a master of football’s dark arts, finished the 90 minutes with a beaming smile on his face.

Real Madrid had won 3-1 and, in the process, secured their third European Cup in as many seasons.

Dembele shows how you deal with Ramos

The World Cup winner sent a message of goodwill to Salah via Twitter after the match but Liverpool fans are still fuming with the centre-back.

God help him if he has to go to Anfield with Real Madrid next season.

Perhaps Liverpool’s players should have spoken to Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele prior to the final in Kiev.

Footage is currently doing the rounds on social media which shows the Belgium international knew exactly how to deal with Ramos when Spurs faced Real Madrid in the Champions League earlier this season.

This is why every team needs a bruiser

If only Liverpool had Dembele in their team at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium. Things could have been very different.

This footage shows the only way to deal with Ramos is to fight fire with fire.

This is why every team needs a bruiser, to deal with characters like Madrid’s skipper.

Spurs recorded a 3-1 victory over the European champions at Wembley on that night last November, with Dembele only playing the final 25 minutes after Mauricio Pochettino deployed Harry Winks in central midfield instead.

Still, Dembele did enough during his cameo to ensure that Ramos will never forget him.
