Fred's deleted tweet

After helping Brazil beat Croatia 2-0 in Liverpool, Fred decided to send a late night tweet celebrating the victory.

However, it was deleted within minutes after Man United fans spotted that he had left on his location settings - and his location was 'Manchester'.

Rumbled. It would now be an absolute disaster if Man United's deal collapses for the box-to-box midfielder.

Fred, 25, tweeted the exact same thing minutes later but made sure to leave his location turned off.

Fred almost joined Manchester City in January but Shakhtar pulled the plug after qualifying for the latter stages of the Champions League.

It seems the deal to bring him to Old Trafford is all but wrapped up - and he could be unveiled as a Man United player as soon as Monday.

Manchester City's Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus told reporters that he'll support Fred even if he moves to their Manchester rivals.

"I talked to Fred in the middle of the season, when there was speculation he could go to Manchester City," Jesus told a news conference, as per FourFourTwo. "But about United, I don't know.

"The decision is his, it's private, he decides what he wants to do with his career.

"We'll support him wherever he goes. If he goes to United, I can't cheer for the team, but I will always support him."
