It seems like The Undertaker doesn't know the meaning of retirement.Although it wasn't confirmed - and didn't turn out to be true either - fans eventually came to terms with the fact that his loss against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 was his final contest and he would be riding off into the sunset.

RETURN

It made sense. He left the iconic gloves, hat and coat in the middle of the ring and all of his actions, along with the commentary, pointed in the direction of him finally calling it a day and prioritising his health instead.

Then, WWE gave fans the somewhat underwhelming conclusion to the so-called feud against John Cena, where he squashed the 16-time world champion in a matter of minutes. That was something not many fans enjoyed, as it limited Cena's role at WrestleMania 34 while it wasn't the dream match many fans thought they'd see whenever they faced off on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

Since then, it was revealed that the WWE has plans for The Deadman to wrestle several times this year with fans drafting up lists of potential opponents.

With Cena going down as the first and his win over Rusev in the casket match at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia marking appearance number two - The Undertaker's third match of the year has officially been confirmed.

The official Madison Square Garden Twitter account has confirmed that The Phenom will be back in the historic arena on Saturday, 7 July.

MSG

They posted: "For the first time in 8 years, The Undertaker returns live in action to The Garden on Saturday, July 7th. #WWEMSG."

The important thing to note is that the wording of their tweet suggests this won't just be an ordinary appearance by The Undertaker, like we saw at RAW 25, for example, but he could actually be having another match.

Judging by the reaction, though, there are mixed feelings about the whole announcement. Some are understandably pleased that he's back again, while others are poking fun at his 'retirement' and the fact that he'll come back to squash someone in a matter of minutes.

WWE tends to go all-out whenever it's a show in MSG, such as big championship matches taking place, the likes of Cena and Brock Lesnar being in action while we also saw a huge title change in the venue last year where AJ Styles became the United States Champion.

Considering this could very well be the final time The Phenom competes inside of a historic arena like MSG, fans in attendance will cherish the moment next month.

Now, we need to wait and see which lucky star is going to be competing opposite him.
