Tyson Fury is about to step back into the ring with his comeback fight this weekend, and it's no secret that he's got his eyes on making his way back to the top.

But with his comeback fight just days away, it looks like his first opponent could have been Tony Bellew, Dillian Whyte or even Anthony Joshua.

That was of course if he had chosen Eddie Hearn as his promoter - as the man himself revealed in an interview with iFL TV.

Hearn was asked about the moment Tyson Fury first announced that he was going to make his boxing comeback and insists he doesn't regret not signing the big heavyweight.

"I had to make a decision with Tyson Fury, you know we spoke a lot," Hearn said. "I have great respect for him and think he's a great fighter, I just couldn't put him in with the guys that he wanted to fight.

"What we had was a clear plan for Tyson Fury, and the kind of guys for him to fight, Tony Bellew, Dillian Whyte and Anthony Joshua. They're three, seven-figure pay-per-view fights that would make him an absolute fortune."

Hearn would have allowed Fury one fight against someone like Seferi but revealed the former world champion wants at least three fights against a similar standard of opponent.

He continued: "He's not ready for those fights, not because he isn't good enough, it's because he's been out of the game for a long time. But I don't mind him having the one, but not three or four.

"It's difficult because he fights Sefer Seferi, who is the number two Albanian cruiserweight...

"Sefer Seferi is a promoter, he's not really a fighter anymore, and he's also 5'10. So this is going to be very embarrassing, but it's understandable because Tyson's been out, so I don't blame him for fighting this guy."

Hearn also spoke about his concerns over Fury fighting Seferi. After calling out for fights with the likes of Anthony Joshua, if Fury loses to Seferi or struggles with his comeback fight then the odds of a bigger fight are against him.

"You can't call out Joshua, and do this to Wilder or do this to Bellew and then fight an Albanian cruiserweight.

"If he looks bad in that fight, it really doesn't help the big fights that are out there."

Despite Hearn voicing his concerns about Fury's return fight against Seferi, he made sure he ended the interview on a high, showing his support for Fury during his big comeback.

He said: "He's a character, he's an excellent fighter, it's great to see him back."
