Corpus Christi in Texas hosted Smackdown Live in a show that saw three big matches and one huge contract signing.Lana and Aiden English, part of the Rusev Day team, took on the husband and wife team of Jimmy Uso and Naomi in the first mixed tag-team match since the final of the Mixed Match Challenge back in April. Also, Charlotte Flair was scheduled to face her best friend Becky Lynch. In the main event, all three members of The New Day were in action as they faced their fellow representatives from Smackdown Live at Money in the Bank: Rusev, Samoa Joe and The Miz. Here are all the results from Smackdown Live:SONYA DEVILLE AND MANDY ROSE VS. ASUKACarmella kicked off the show by showing two highlight reels of Asuka. One before WrestleMania, where she dominated WWE and NXT. The other, after 'Mania where she lost to Charlotte Flair on The Grandest Stage of Them All and then losing her first match on Smackdown Live to The IIconics. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville interrupted Asuka and Carmella in the ring and demanded they both get a match with Asuka tonight. Paige asked Asuka who she would like to face and she enthusiastically said both, therefore the handicap match was made.

Asuka began to build momentum but Carmella, who was situated on commentary, distracted The Empress of Tomorrow, giving Sonya Deville the upper hand. Carmella's moonwalking on top of the announce table was particularly enraging for Asuka.

Both women nailed a Roundhouse Kick that temporarily downed each other but Deville hit an amazing spear that almost put Asuka away. Asuka quickly transitioned to the ground and into her Asuka Lock and made Deville tap out almost instantly.

After the match, Rose tried to restore some pride by attacking Asuka from behind but the Japanese saw it coming, Spinning Backfisted Rose but leaving her open to attack from Carmella. The Princess of Staten Island used the Championship Belt to knock Asuka down and gave her a superkick to end the segment standing tall and beaming with pride.

Rating: 7/10

This was fun to watch as Deville, Rose and Asuka are all good in the ring and Carmella was extremely entertaining on commentary. Carmella made smart distractions from the outside and toyed with the crowd to keep them interested. People are still very hesitant to hear Asuka on the microphone so they limited her time on it well. Carmella then finished the segment standing tall, which looks good ahead of their championship match in two weeks.

KARL ANDERSON VS. HARPER

Not too much to report here as Harper dominated the match for about 30 seconds before Karl Anderson dodged a boot in the corner and got the quick roll-up win.

Rating: 2/10

Nothing of importance to note here, although now we know we will probably get Luke Gallows vs. Rowan next week before their title match at Money in the Bank. Not even their entrances were televised.

NAOMI AND JIMMY USO VS. LANA AND AIDEN ENGLISH

Lana and English tried to join forces and turn it into a tornado tag match by launching attacks at the same time but the husband and wife duo dodged the assault and hit synchronized Enziguiri's. Naomi then went flying over the top rope to wipe out English and Lana.

Lana took the advantage but once Naomi tagged in Jimmy Uso he unleashed a good string of offense against the former Vaudevillian.

Naomi got a crossbody in on English and it left him open for Jimmy to nail the superkick and win the match for his team.

Rating: 7/10

Again, another enjoyable match and the mixed gender element made it far more exciting than a regular tag match. Here's hoping we see more of them in the future. Naomi and Jimmy worked well together and Lana continues to look good inside the ring, although her selling could do with a bit of work. I just struggle to see where this feud goes unless it's for a championship of some sort. There is no room on the next pay-per-view card to see a match so... What next?

CHARLOTTE VS. BECKY LYNCH

For the first time since mid-2017, Flair and Lynch met in a one on one scenario. Both were friendly to begin with but the match turned competitive very quickly although neither woman could pick up too much momentum.

Becky Lynch hit a lovely leg-drop from the top turnbuckle but Charlotte Flair came back with a Spear and Diving Crossbody to The Lasskicker outside the ring. The Queen's Moonsault wasn't able to connect as Lynch got the knees up and it turned the tide in her favour as she was able to get in the Disarmer and force Flair to tap out.

After the match, the two superstars embraced in a hug and confirmed that it will be all to play for at Money in the Bank.

Rating: 6/10

A good TV match but we know what these two are capable of and they simply were not given enough time to give us their very best. Having seen them in a brilliant match at WrestleMania, it's hard for anything else to top it but now they are both faces, it seems the crowd just enjoyed the match for what it was. Both women are brilliant workers and Lynch is one of the best babyfaces on the whole roster, cheering her is inevitable.

THE NEW DAY VS. RUSEV, THE MIZ AND SAMOA JOE

The Miz began inside the ring but ate a tonne of early offense as The New Day dominated, only to be put in their place by Samoa Joe who evened the odds as soon as he entered the fray.

Xavier Woods took most of the damage on behalf of his team as he failed to find a way to his tag partners. Kofi got the hot tag and chaos ensued.

After finally calming down, The Miz found himself alone in the ring with a dazed Big E whilst Joe and Rusev had eradicated the rest of The New Day. Miz picked up Kofi's pancake tray and threw the pancakes but accidentally hit Rusev and Joe. For his actions, he received a Machka Kick and Senton before The Midnight Hour put him away for good.

Rating: 7/10

A slightly short main event but there was lots of action packed into it. It was always going to be a fun match and it certainly delivered, with high flying action all over the ring. Kofi is exceptionally good and The New Day's hot tag is definitely the best in the business. Joe and Rusev kept their respectability by laying out The Miz and not taking too much damage during the match. Could this be a tangent to throw us off The Miz winning Money in the Bank next Sunday? He'd be great with the briefcase, as he is wherever he is on the card.

Also on tonight's episode, we saw a hilarious backstage segment including The Miz and The New Day early in the night, Big Cass cut a lengthy promo about Daniel Bryan ahead of their next match and Andrade 'Cien' Almas attack Sin Cara from behind in the backstage area. AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura also signed their contract ahead of the Money in the Bank Last Man Standing match for the WWE Championship.
