Bret Hart had one of the most famous wrestling runs in history.

"The Hitman" went through it all - starting out in WWF, before moving to WCW and then finally returning to WWE.

His career spanned over two decades - and he had some memorable moments along the way.

He won almost every title on offer - multiple times, and had some of the best feuds in the history of pro-wrestling.

Then of course, there was the Montreal Screwjob in 1997 - but the less said about that, the better.

HOW THE HITMAN FEELS ABOUT WWE TODAY

There are very few more accomplished wrestlers in the squared circle that Hart was.

The man literally crowned himself as "The Best There Is, The Best There Was and The Best There Ever Will Be" - and to be honest, it's quite hard to disagree with him.

So, when he opens up and talks about the current state of the wrestling business, it's probably best to sit up and take notice.

Hart recently did a radio interview with talkSPORT where he was asked to give his take on the current WWE product - and it's fair to say he didn't hold back.

WHAT BRET DID BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE

“I think I was a better storyteller than any of the wrestlers they’ve got today," he told talkSPORT, per Wrestling Inc.

"I watched Wrestlemania this year and there’s no drama anymore. They do some amazing stuff, there are some incredible athletes, but people don’t know how to tell a story.”

Hart believes that different fans each want different things from sports entertainment - but storytelling is an important part of the business.

“Wrestling has it’s flows, it will change again as people get tired of the ‘phoney’ wrestling," he continued.

"I watched my match with Davey Boy [British Bulldog] at Wembley with some journalists in a bar and they almost bought into it like it was real.”

It's hard to argue with him too. WWE has appeared to lose some of its drama in recent years - and some fans even believe the product is not as good as it was over a decade ago, when WWE storytelling was in its prime.
