Brendan Rodgers' career has been resurrected at Celtic.

After some success with Liverpool in 2013/14, where he nearly won the Premier League title, the Northern Irishman's reputation took a big hit after a disastrous start to the next season.

Jurgen Klopp had to be brought in halfway through, with people questioning whether Rodgers really was the real deal.

Over in Scotland, he's proved it. While leading Celtic to two consecutive titles is nothing special, going a whole season unbeaten and winning back-to-back domestic trebles certainly is.

In fact, his success with the Bhoys saw him become one of the favourites for the Arsenal job after Arsene Wenger's departure, but the Gunners eventually opted for Unai Emery.

But it seems interest from England's top-flight didn't end in north London, with another club lining up Rodgers as their next manager and it's a job that would suit him down to the ground.

As reported by The Sun, Leicester City view him as the perfect man to succeed Claude Puel, with the Frenchman enduring a very poor end to the 2018/19 season.

There has been talk of player unrest under Puel and the Foxes think Rodgers is the man to bring the squad together and make a challenge for the top six.

It would be a very exciting hire, with Leicester already making some big moves in the transfer market.

Portuguese right-back Ricardo Pereira arrived early on from Porto, with Jonny Evans' £3.5m move from West Brom being officially confirmed on Friday.

The likes of Jack Grealish, James Maddison and Patrick Roberts are also being eyed up by the club.

The only downside for Rodgers would be the impending sale of star man Riyad Mahrez, with Manchester City set to swoop for the Algerian.
