Chris Coleman's time at Sunderland certainly won't be remembered fondly. After guiding Wales to the semi-final of Euro 2016 - where they lost to Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal - the former Fulham boss took a huge gamble and accepted an offer from the Black Cats.Sunderland were already in a pretty dire situation when he took over, with relegation looking a real possibility. And he did little to turn things around, with the club going down to League One with a whimper, finishing rock bottom of the Championship table.Coleman was promptly released after his dismal spell, but there were rumours that Sunderland's new ownership would consider taking him on again. However, that has now been put to bed, with Coleman being appointed manager of a very unexpected club.News broke on Sunday afternoon that Chinese Super League side Hebei Fortune had hired him to replace Manuel Pellegrini, who is now at West Ham.

No one saw that coming.

It won't be an easy task for Coleman - who has signed a two-and-a-half year deal -  with Hebei sitting tenth in the table after 11 rounds of games, winning just four of those.

But, he does have some big names to work with at the club such as Javier Mascherano, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Gervinho.

Coleman is the first British manager to make the step out to the Far East and he may prove to be a catalyst for British players to start making their way out to the wealthy league.
