Notts County have added to their attacking options on the eve of the new season with the signing of Birmingham teenager Jake Jervis.

The highly-rated 18-year-old has arrived at Meadow Lane in time for Saturday's npower League One opener with Huddersfield and will spend six months on loan with Craig Short's men.

Jervis is expected to provide cover for the injured Luke Rodgers, offering back-up to the first-choice duo of Ben Burgess and Lee Hughes.
