As an avid Manchester United supporter, Usain Bolt will have dreamed of playing at Old Trafford for a very long time. The retired sprinter managed to fulfil that dream when he appeared in Soccer Aid on Sunday evening.Bolt captained a World XI side that included Yaya Toure and Clarence Seedorf, going up against an England XI that featured Danny Murphy, Michael Owen and Mo Farah.Soccer Aid is staged every year to help raise money for UNICEF.But, while the match combines a joyous mix of athletes - many retired - and celebrities, they all take it seriously. And that includes Bolt, who has dreams of becoming a professional footballer. The world’s fastest man has trained with Borussia Dortmund and Stromsgodset as he attempts to transition from athletics to football.

Fans are talking about Bolt

But, based on his performance at Soccer Aid, football fans think Bolt should find another dream.

The 31-year-old, playing up front, had a series of chances to score but the closest he came to finding the net was through an effort that crashed off the crossbar.

Some passes went astray and Bolt just didn’t look like the finished product.

Here’s what fans were saying about the Jamaican on Twitter.

It remains to be seen just how much longer Bolt will pursue a football career.

"Usain bolt trying to make it as a professional. The bloke can’t even get past 38-year-old Wes Brown that plays for Kerala Blasters," Twitter user @stevenrmears wrote.

He recently played in a friendly for Norwegian side Stromsgodset against Norway Under 19s, coming off the bench to play the final 20 minutes.

Yet Bolt failed to impress, giving the ball away on several occasions and missing an opportunity to score.

Bolt shocked the world with his achievements on the track but perhaps it's time for him to move on to something else.

Back in March, then-Borussia Dortmund coach Peter Stoger admitted that the retired sprinter isn't ready for top flight football.

"I think he is talented, but when he wants to play at a higher level, he clearly has a lot of work to do," Stoger said after Bolt trained with the Bundesliga side.

"The physique he needs for his other sport is completely different from what he needs for football, but it was really fun for us."
