The negotiations have had more twists and turns than a roller coaster, but it seems like a positive resolution to the much talked about fight between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder could be on brink of being announced. On Monday, Wilder revealed on social media that he had accepted Joshua's terms for their proposed fight to be staged in the UK.This declaration from the American had surprised the Joshua camp, who had nearly sealed the deal to take on Russian fighter Alexander Povetkin in September. As that fight was about to be announced, Wilder documented his interest and Joshua's Eddie Hearn has revealed they will now fully test the American's commitment by putting an offer in front of him."We made him (Wilder) an offer four weeks and now they have come back via social media accepting terms and wanting to proceed to contract," Hearn told the Daily Mail."I have not known a fight where a party has been so keen for a fight but done so much of the deal on social media.

"We have to take it seriously. The only way to find out what is real is to get the contract to them."

"We were looking at September but is there the time to do it? That seems unlikely because we are now four weeks on, plus it clashes with Canelo.

"That would mean October or November and probably in Cardiff. AJ would want Wembley for a fight of this magnitude but if we do October or November you can't really do that outdoors.

"We will wait and see what happens when we get the contract back. We will continue looking at Povetkin and we are ready to sign either way. But we need to get the contract back from Deontay Wilder – then we will know if this is bluster or if he is serious."

After being accused of dragging his feet on any proposed deal, Wilder was quick to proclaim that a $50 million deal is still open for Joshua to accept which will see the fight take place in the US.

Wilder said: "In addition to that, today I agreed to their offer to fight Joshua next in the U.K.

"If Joshua prefers the fight in the UK. the ball is in their court.

"It's up to them to choose US or UK. I'm in."

These kind of negotiations are always delicate and at times long-winded.

It is hard to believe which side is telling the truth and who is trying to pull the wool over the public's eyes.

However, the frustrations and trash-talk will be in the past if these two unbeaten champions finally take to the ring and show who is the best fighter.
