When Antoine Griezmann conducted a press conference at the France national team training camp on Tuesday, everyone expected him to reveal his future.

The Frenchman is being linked with a move to Barcelona, although there’s still a possibility he could remain at Atletico Madrid.

France kick off their World Cup campaign against Australia on Saturday and Griezmann had previously insisted that he would reveal his future before that match.

"The World Cup for France starts on Saturday, there is still time. In Spain some say that I stay at Atlético, others say I leave and I'll say it before the first game begins,” he said recently.

Many saw his press conference on Tuesday, four days before France’s first fixture of the competition, as the perfect chance to do just that.

However, Griezmann disappointed plenty of football fans by saying: “I am very sorry, but today I am not going to give my decision.

“I know there's a lot of expectation, I know many were waiting for it, but today is not the day (to speak about my future).

"There's no more pressure on me, I am relaxed, focused on the World Cup.

“I am happy and that's the most important thing now. I've lived with this for three months and I am used to it, now I have to think about the World Cup."

THE DECISION GRIEZMANN HAS MADE

But why?

Well, Mundo Deportivo have revealed all.

They claim that Griezmann has decided to join Barcelona.

The report states that a “very well-informed source” has told them that he has verbally agreed to join the Camp Nou club.

But why didn’t he reveal that at his press conference?

Well, he couldn’t say anything about Barca because of the release clause that reduces the fee they can sign him for doesn’t come into effect until July 1.

If the Catalan club signed him now, it would cost them €200 million but if they wait until the turn of the month, it will be halved to €100 million.

Of course, if he was staying at Atleti, why wouldn't he just come out and say it now if he's already made his decision?

Everything is pointing to Griezmann signing for Barca after the World Cup…
