There hasn't been much coming out of Chelsea since the end of the domestic season.

The Blues finished a disappointing campaign with an FA Cup final victory over Manchester United, but it seems almost a certainty that there will be huge changes at the club, starting with the manager.

Antonio Conte's second season did not go to plan after lifting the Premier League in 2016/17, with the Italian spending most of the season irritating supporters with his negative demeanour.

Neither party want to continue their relationship, but Chelsea have to be wary that they'd have to pay up to £10m in compensation if Conte were to not find a new job in one year.

The Italian national job has already been taken by Roberto Mancini, so that's one destination gone and Chelsea don't want to be throwing money away in their financial situation.

The issues with owner Roman Abramovich mean they may now have to alter their chase for a new manager, which could spell the end of their pursuit for Napoli's Maurizio Sarri.

Chelsea may have to look at 'low-cost options' and there are two names which are already being looked at by the club.

As reported by Duncan Castles for Yahoo, the Blues are looking at two bosses who will be leading their countries in the World Cup; Argentina's Jorge Sampaoli and Brazil's Tite.

Abramovich has instructed the board to broaden their search and both South Americans would bring with them a lot of expertise.

Sampaoli's reputation in the game is renowned, while Tite has been instrumental in the rebuilding of the Brazilian national team after taking over in June 2016.

Nevertheless, Chelsea fans were pretty excited about the potential arrival of Sarri after his stunning work with Napoli.

But if the Italian is too expensive - he does have a £7m release clause - one of the World Cup duo may have to be called upon.
