Anthony Martial is hoping to quit Old Trafford this summer.
The Manchester United forward has struggled for consistency under Jose Mourinho and Martial's agent told RMC Sport that his client "wants to leave."
Philippe Lamboley said: “After thinking about all the possibilities and scenarios, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United.
"I think that when Manchester United, which is the most powerful club in the world it must be remembered, do not find an agreement in eight months of negotiations, it is because they do really want to make him an important player.
"Manchester United will have the last word and that we will respect the decision of the club, he will go to the end of its commitment.”
The 22-year-old starlet missed out on a place in France's World Cup squad after failing to secure regular first team football in Manchester.
Chelsea, Tottenham and Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Martial this summer.
Mourinho will sell on one condition
According to various reports on Thursday morning, Man United have no intention of selling the highly-rated Frenchman this summer.
However, The Mirror believe Mourinho will allow Martial to leave if one important condition is met.
The Portuguese coach wants guarantees from the board that the money accrued from Martial's sale will be immediately reinvested on new players.
Man United can expect to receive more than £50m for the pacy French winger who joined from Monaco in 2015.
Martial has one year remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford but the Reds are likely to trigger their option of another season.
Meanwhile, Mourinho is aware that he must bolster his squad if he intends to challenge Manchester City for the title next season.
United's Manchester rivals finished 19 points clear at the top of the table.
The Red Devils have already added Diogo Dalot to their ranks and Fred is expected to be confirmed as a Man United player in the coming days.
But United's summer business is far from completed.
Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld has been heavily linked with a move to Man United but the Reds are yet to stump up the £55m asking price.
Ed Woodward will be under heavy pressure from Mourinho for the next eight weeks.
The transfer window shuts on August 9 this summer.
