Larry Fitzgerald is a living legend in the NFL. The Cardinals receiver is entering his 15th season in the league, coming off another Pro Bowl season in 2017, and is a sure-fire Hall of Famer down the line. The 34-year-old looks as good as he's ever been right now, and there's no certainty that this year will even be his last as a professional. Fitzgerald is already right near the top of almost every major receiving category in league history, and with a couple more solid seasons, he could end up with multiple leading marks. He currently ranks third all time in both receptions (1234) and receiving yards (15,545), and those numbers look even more incredible because of one incredible statistic.Despite playing with some of the top quarterbacks of his time, including Kurt Warner and Carson Palmer, Fitzgerald has managed to put up these astounding numbers with a total of 14 different signal callers. That is quite simply mind blowing, and proves that he is effective no matter who is under center.

The 11-time Pro Bowler has led the league in receptions twice, receiving touchdowns twice, and has also earned three All Pro selections in his stellar career thus far.

The Cardinals star needs just 390 receiving yards in 2018 to move past Terrell Owens into second place all time and 92 receptions to pass Tony Gonzalez for second on that list.

It could be an historical season for Fitz, and it seems as though he could well be back for one more campaign in 2019 after he refused to confirm the current season as being his last in the NFL.

”I’m just trying to make it to February in one piece,” Fitzgerald said Wednesday after minicamp practice, via the Associated Press.

”When I say that I’m not saying it jokingly, that’s the mentality that you have to have,” Fitzgerald added. ”All these guys, they’re not bringing them in here for their own health. They’re bringing them here to give them the opportunity to take your job. That’s not lost on me ever. I’m fighting and competing just like everybody else is.”

He'll have yet more new quarterbacks throwing to him in 2018 too, with Sam Bradford and rookie Josh Rosen likely to handle most of the workload.

Should he produce yet another ageless season of excellence, Fitzgerald's legacy will only continue to grow. He truly is one of the great players in league history, and we sure should appreciate his greatness while we still can.
