Arsenal are being linked with a shock move for Spanish stopper Jose Reina.
The 27-year-old keeper is regarded as one of the best in the business in the Premier League, and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to bring a new No.1 to the Emirates.
Reina has built on his reputation after moving to Liverpool from Villarreal in 2005, and the Spanish reserve goalkeeper has emerged as a surprise transfer candidate at the Emirates following five successful seasons at Anfield.
The Sun reports that a move for Reina would cost the Frenchman in the region of £25 million, a figure that could prove to be an issue with a manager who rarely parts with huge amounts of cash.
Reina, who started his career at Barcelona in 1999, was originally thought to be unsettled by the exit of former boss Rafael Benitez. However, the arrival of Roy Hodgson appears to have settle the ship on Merseyside and the keeper is not thought to be looking for a move.
