The World Cup is underway but England fans have to wait a couple more days to watch the Three Lions in action.

Gareth Southgate’s side can sit back and watch the opening games of the competition before they take to the stage on Monday against Tunisia.

It certainly won’t be an easy battle against the African side but they will be desperate to get off to a winning start.

But which 11 players will Southgate pick to kick-off their World Cup campaign?

Well, this week, plenty of pundits and former players have been selecting the team they would pick against Tunisia.

ENGLAND'S XI VS TUNISIA

And it seems Southgate has now finally made up his mind.

Various reports have revealed the decisions Southgate has made - and this is the team they believe the manager has opted for:

Pickford; Walker, Stones, Maguire; Trippier, Alli, Lingard, Henderson, Young; Sterling; Kane.

The Mirror, the Daily Mail and the Telegraph all agree that Southgate will pick the above XI.

The Daily Mail claim that Ashley Young has been preferred to Danny Rose in the left wing-back role during drills at England's training facility in Zelenogorsk with Southgate not convinced the Spurs player is fit and sharp enough to start in 30 degree heat.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford is facing a fit to be fit but, even if he does prove his fitness, will have to settle for a place on the bench.

And in defence, Southgate has opted for Harry Maguire over Gary Cahill on the left-hand side of defence.

But the biggest decision Southgate had to make was Eric Der or Jordan Henderson.

He’s picked the Liverpool midfielder but Martin Keown isn’t too impressed with that choice.

"It looks like Jordan Henderson will start in midfield against Tunisia but if Gareth Southgate wants the best person to fit his system, he should go for Eric Dier," Keown said.

"Henderson likes to get forward but if he does in this system, England could be left with just three players in defence.

"Dier is better suited to this role but his leg has been strapped up this week which may count against him. Southgate may want to go with the player he can rely upon to be fit."
