Crystal Palace are a team who look like they're going places.

At the start of the 2017/18 season, you would never have uttered those words, with the Eagles losing seven consecutive games under Frank de Boer and failing to score once in those games.

That set a very unwanted Premier League record, but under the guidance of Roy Hodgson Palace now look like one of the most dangerous sides below the top six.

Star man Wilfred Zaha looks happy at Selhurst Park, with a number of other players performing out of their skin under Hodgson.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek was one of them and Palace will be praying to get him either on loan again or on a permanent deal from Chelsea.

And another player who looked rejuvenated under the boss was Patrick van Aanholt, with the Dutch left-back enjoying a spectacular end to the season.

He scored five goals and appears to be approaching the peak years of his career at 27.

Nevertheless, no one could have predicted the team that are now looking at bringing the former Sunderland man in for a cool £25m.

As reported by The Sun, Italian champions Juventus are very interested in Van Aanholt and will look to sign him if they sell Alex Sandro this summer.

The Brazilian has been linked with a big-money move to Manchester United, but even if that were to fall through, it seems as though Sandro will be on the move.

No one would have predicted that for Van Aanholt.

While Juve don't command the pulling power of a Barcelona or Real Madrid, you have to feel they could attract a higher quality player.

However, Van Aanholt is a full Dutch international and has got a pretty decent reputation in the Premier League.

Who knows, he could be a shrewd investment.
